Mike Evans Is a Top 3 Receiver

In 2014 the Bucs drafted WR Mike Evans out of Texas with the 7th overall pick in the first round. Back then Evans was just 21, so the Bucs weren’t quite sure what they were getting. While playing at Texas, Evans’ QB was the infamous Jonny Manziel, so the question was who was the star, Manziel or Evans.

Turns out Manziel was a dud and Evans was a 6’5”, 235-pound athletic freak. In 2014, his rookie year, he caught 68 passes for 1,051 yards and 12 TDs. Since then he has not slowed down, making DBs look ridiculous year in and year out. Evans has reached his 5th straight 1,000-yard season with 66 catches for 1,121 yards and 5 TDs.

What better receiver is there? Antonio Brown—ehhhh, AJ Green? No way. If I had a choice, I’d take Evans, no doubt. His size and speed are unmatched in the NFL.
