The Bucs signed many free agents and players off of the waiver wire along the defensive line last offseason. Vinny Curry and Beau Allen were signed, and Jason Pierre Paul was added to bolster a rather weak D-line. JPP has had a great season with 11.5 sacks, but he’s not the only Buccaneer DE having a great season.

After spending his first two seasons with the Browns, Carl Nassib was waived before the first game and swiftly signed with the Bucs the next. After an injury to LE Vinny Curry, Nassib has started 7 games so far and has not disappointed. He has amassed 6.5 sacks 24 tackles and 9 tackles for loss.

Nassib out of Penn State had 15.5 sacks his senior year has a motor that doesn’t quit and has rejuvenated his career in Tampa Bay. Nassib was a hidden gem signed before the start of the season, and with that signing, the Bucs struck gold.
