Ronald Jones’s Season Has Been Disappointing

At the beginning of the season Bucs fans had so much hope. After moving on from Doug Martin, the Bucs drafted USC’s Ronald Jones with their second-round pick. While at USC, ROJO dominated the competition. His junior season before going pro, he ran for 1,550 yards with an eye-popping 5.9 yards per carry and 19 TDs. So with all those stats, Bucs fans were eager to see what their new RB could do, and oh boy were they disappointed.

As of now, Jones has only played in bits of 7 games after being inactive for the first few. Jones has a total of 23 carries for an abysmal 44 yards. The last several games, Jones has proved to fans that he’s not ready for the pro level. He can’t catch, can’t block, and when handed the football, he looks like a deer in the headlights. I’m not going to declare Jones a bust yet, but he’s well on his way.
