NFL: Fantasy Football Week 16 Start ‘Em ‘n’ Sit ‘Em

0

Week 16 is Championship Week for most fantasy leagues. Hopefully you are playing in your fantasy championship game. All year long we have been here for you with starts and sits. We are back again this week with another round. Pay attention as this lineup just may net you a league title.

STARTS

QB

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers

Big Ben is ready to have a big game. There is none bigger than playing the best team in the league at their place. While the New Orleans Saints’ defense is hot, Ben will cool them off in week 16. They have allowed 15 TDs and the 4th most fantasy points in the Dome.

RB

Derrick Henry – Tennessee Titans

Henry is the hottest RB in fantasy. Ride him to a title. The Redskins have allowed 180 scrimmage yards and 27 fantasy PPG to opposing RBs in the last four weeks.

WR

Amari Cooper – Dallas Cowboys

Cooper has a sweet matchup against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense that has given up 12 TDs and the 4th most fantasy points per game to home WRs.

TE

Eric Ebron – Indianapolis Colts

Ebron and the Colts are deep in the middle of a playoff race. Keep Ebron in your lineup this week against the New York Giants. That defense has been giving gifts to TE over the last four weeks.

K

Mason Crosby – Green Bay Packers

Merry Christmas, fantasy fans. Crosby has the Jets during championship week. They are the worst teams when it comes to allowing kickers to score. 29 FG conversions and the third most fantasy points on the season.

Defense

Cleveland Browns

I would play the Browns’ defense with confidence in week 16. Yes, the Browns! They have a very gift-giving matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are the 25th offense in the NFL and are only averaging 24 PPG.

This is your championship lineup. Play this with confidence.

Now the splinter receivers.

SITS

QB

Tom Brady – New England Patriots

Brady is a play-with-caution. The Patriots have a week 15 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, who have the best defense against QBs when they are away from Buffalo. In addition, Brady does not have more than 16 fantasy point against Buffalo in the last 4 games at Gillette Stadium.

RB

Josh Adams – Philadelphia Eagles

Adams has become the lead back for the Eagles in the past few weeks. A bad matchup against the Houston Texans in week 16 keeps him on the bench. They are allowing 3.2 yards per carry to opposing RBs.

WR

Sterling Shepard – New York Giants

Shepard has seen more balls his way in the past couple weeks with the absence of Odell Beckham Jr. However, week 16 yields the Colts, who have been on fire the past four weeks (fewest fantasy points and yards).

TE

Vernon Davis – Washington Redskins

Davis quickly came into the light when Jordan Reed went down with an injury. He fades into the distance this week against the Titans, who have not allowed a TD to TEs this year.

K

Dan Bailey – Minnesota Vikings

Bailey is a must sit this week against the Detroit Lions. They are only allowing 5.9 fantasy PPG to kickers on the season.

Defense

Seattle Seahawks

Sit the Seahawks on Sunday night against the best offense in the NFL. Their stat-line is SICK when it comes to fantasy. The Chiefs are only giving up one turnover per game. Opposing defenses are only scoring a lowly 3 fantasy PPG against the Chiefs.

These are the ones that you want to avoid in your championship game.

If you are playing for a title this weekend, good luck. If you are on the couch like me, enjoy the playoff races.
