It has been reported via Alex Marvez of SiriusXM NFL radio that defensive line coach Brenston Buckner is out.

This report comes on the heels of DC Todd Bowles joining Arians staff, and bringing with him Kacy Rodgers with him as D-like coach. Rodgers was defensive coordinator for the Jets while Bowles was the head coach there.

Unfortunately for Buckner, this makes him the odd man out. It remains to be seen how big of a loss this is for a team that saw improvement in production last year. One that has underperformed the last few seasons, and has a new position coach that looks to keep the arrow trending upward.

UPDATE:

It is now being reported by Trevor Sikkema of Pewter Report that the Bucs still need to work out details with the Jets. So nothing is official at this moment. If the two sides can’t come to an agreement, Buckner could in fact stay. Click HERE to view the report.
