Former Bucs HC Schiano at Senior Bowl in search for NFL coaching job

0

It looks like former Bucs Head Coach Greg Schiano is looking to break back into the coaching ranks of the NFL after being fired by Tampa Bay in 2013 after going 11-21 in two seasons. He was a coach that brought discipline to a Tampa Bay squad that sorely lacked it under Raheem Morris, but with that came endless controversies.

After his release, in 2016 he was hired by Ohio State’s HC Urban Meyer to become the defensive coordinator. After a few successful seasons their, he now looks to make a return to the NFL.

A report has come out via Ian Rapoport of NFL.com that Schiano is currently at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL sniffing around for NFL coaching availabilities.

Patriots HC Bill Belichick, who has highly regarded Schiano in the past, would be a good fit after the departure of DC Brian Flores. If this does in fact happen, the NFL has not seen the last of Greg “Toes on the line” Schiano.
