Overview: Joe Jackson is expected to get drafted in the second or third round according to most NFL mock drafts. If the Bucs do not end up picking a defensive end in the first round, Jackson should warrant their attention. Playing a position that is starting to become maybe the most important one on defense, with the league becoming more and more pass-happy, Jackson could end up being a huge boost for Tampa Bay’s pass rush alongside Jason Pierre-Paul. The Bucs must acquire a high-profile edge rusher in the offseason. If Licht and the Bucs have an eye on him, picking him early in the third round would make for a great selection.

Pros:

– Great frame, physical pototype of a defensive end, seems NFL-ready
– Finds ways to get sacks and tackles for loss on a consistent basis
– Excellent durability

Cons:

– Lacks football instincts
– Struggles to get rid of blockers, once they have gotten into him
