What Makes Ryan Fitzpatrick So Appealing to Teams

0

Well, it looks like Fitzmagic has another home. Ryan Fitzpatrick has signed with the Miami Dolphins. He will be a starter since the Dolphins traded Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans. The Dolphins may still draft a quarterback in the upcoming draft. If the Cardinals take Kyler Murray, there is Dwayne Haskins. The Dolphins acquired Fitzpatrick for his veteran leadership. If they draft Murray or Haskins, he could be the one to help them in their development.

This will be the 9th team that Fitzpatrick has played for. Last year he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 3 straight games with over 400 yards. No other NFL quarterback has ever done that, not even Tom Brady. Fitzpatrick has bright moments, which is why he is so appealing to teams. Some say the reason the Dolphins signed Fitzpatrick is so they can tank for the 2020 draft. Many mock drafts have the Dolphins taking a defensive player.

The Dolphins were one of the worse teams a year ago. Under new head coach Brian Flores, they might be heading in the right direction. Fitzpatrick has had bright moments that could help the Dolphins. Of course, the Jets got better, and everyone is still looking up at the New England Patriots. Maybe Flores and Fitzpatrick are the right combinations that the Dolphins need. If Fitzpatrick can find his early season groove from a year ago, he will be a lot better than Tannehill.
