Bucs Select S Mike Edwards In The 3rd Round, 99th Overall

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted a safety in Mike Edwards out of Kentucky in the 3rd round, 99th overall.

During his time at Kentucky he collected 10 INT’s and 317 tackles in 4 seasons.

Through the first 4 picks it has been all defense for the Bucs, and it is much-needed. With a LB, Safety, and two CB’s looking to help improve a woeful Bucs defense.

Edwards is a well-rounded safety tha has the skills to excel both in pass coverage and in the box in the run game.

The Bucs picked up the 94th and 99th overall pick from the LA Rams in a trade for the 70th overall pick.
