Buccaneers sign Jason Licht to 5-year extension

The Buccaneers squeaked by the Dolphins Friday night 16-14. This is the first victory for newly hired head coach Bruce Arians. I can’t deny waking up happy, as the day after a Buccaneers win is always easier. This morning the preseason victory is taking a back seat. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times is reporting the Buccaneers have signed Jason Licht to a five-year extension.

Stroud reports that the signing actually took place just a few days after the hiring of Bruce Arians, essentially linking the two through 2023. Also reported was that Arians insisted that Jameis Winston was the quarterback, that he would hire most of his former coaching staff and that Licht would be the general manager.

This is a developing story, stay tuned to Bucsreport.com for further details.
