Super Bowl LV teaser.

Super Bowl LV was originally awarded to Los Angeles and the new Stadium at Hollywood Park. Built to house the Los Angeles football teams, the Rams and the Chargers. The stadium will also host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Olympics.

There were construction delays with the stadium and a question as to whether it would be done for the 2020 season. As a result, Super Bowl LV will be in Tampa Bay next year with Super Bowl VLI in Los Angeles the following year. Fox13 reporter/anchor Haley Hinds  tweeted out the promotional video for the Host Committee for Super Bowl LV(55).

The video shows a lot of what makes living in Tampa Bay so good. The ‘Forward Forever’, theme rounds out nicely for a community feel. The Host Committee logo itself has a unique sailing ship design that ties in with Gasparilla, Tampa Bay, and even the Buccaneers.

This will be the fifth Super Bowl for Tampa Bay. The chance to shine on the global stage is something West Central Florida does quite well. Of course, the Buccaneers victory in Super Bowl XXXVII was in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium. Now the Chargers will play in the Stadium at Hollywood Park when completed. Maybe Tampa Bay can return the favor by hosting the Chargers in 2021 in Tampa Bay. But maybe a home town game for a Buccaneers vs Chargers Super Bowl, just to completely close the circuit.

Now there’s a Super Bowl that would truly make for a great party.
