Devin White and Jamel Dean return

The Buccaneers will see two rookies return today against the Panthers. Devin White and Jamel Dean are back from injuries. White has been dealing with a knee sprain and Dean with an ankle issue.

Where’s White?

White has only managed to appear in two contests this season and has amassed eight total tackles. Dean has missed two games in 2019, but so far is a no show on the stat sheet.

There were  high expectations this season for White after being selected fifth overall by Tampa Bay. This morning we’ll know a little bit more about that theory, but here’s the facts.

Panther’s Game Will Be Vital

The Buccaneers are 2-3 in the middle of a grueling road stretch and playing a division rival whom they beat earlier this year. Last week Devin White was active, yet did not play in the loss to New Orleans. It’s time we see a game played from White that warrants his top five selection and here’s why.

If the Buccaneers lose today, it will be a monumental task winning through the rest of the road stretch, especially with the amount of travel. White needs to play a part in leading this Tampa Bay defense to a win. Jamel Dean is a great depth corner to have back in the lineup and his presence can’t be short sided, but the people in Tampa Bay have been waiting for a coming out game from the LSU product. He will have that chance tomorrow in London.
