The Buccaneers are bringing back a familiar face to back up newly signed quarterback Tom Brady.

Gabbert was Jameis Winston’s backup during the 2019 preseason. During the third preseason game against the Browns, Gabbert injured his shoulder. Gabbert was put on injured reserve in September.
This move should put to bed any further talk of Jameis Winston returning to the team as a backup.
