Report: Sports Could Return Sooner Than Expected

The global pandemic known as Covid-19 has changed the way we live our lives dramatically. The majority of businesses around the world are closed, travel is basically nonexistent and sports have come to a screeching halt. A return to normalcy is something everyone is looking for, it’s something that’s needed.

PFT’s Michael David Smith reports that Dr. Anthony Fauci believes sports can return in the United States sooner than expected. Fauci’s statrs that this could happen only if there were protocols in place.

In the Snapchat interview Fauci stated,

“There’s a way of doing that,” Fauci said. “Nobody comes to the stadium. Put them in big hotels, wherever you want to play . . . have them tested every week and make sure they don’t wind up infecting each other or their family and just let them play the season out.”

That’s great news for those who are running out of TV shows to binge. But what would these protocols look like?

Fauci stated that he feels the games could go on if…..

– Teams played in empty stadiums
– Teams quarantined in hotels
– Players tested every week

These are definitely trying times we’re living in. Good news is hard to come by, but this seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel, from a sports fan perspective atleast.
