If you follow me on twitter (@nicksitro, shameless plug) you know that I have been campaigning for Lavonte David for some time now.
Drafted in the same year as Bobby Wagner and Luke Kuechly, David has amassed more solo tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries.
And yet, David has been invited to only one pro-bowl. This is disrespect at the highest level.
But alas, it looks like the national disrespect is slowly fading. Peter Schrager on Good Morning Football discussed how the addition of Tom Brady effects the rest of the team. He specifically mentioned Lavonte David as a player to keep an eye on.
“When you sign Tom Brady, you become a primetime team. And with that, guys who haven’t been spotlight players become household names. America, after 8 years, it’s time to finally learn about Lavonte David, the best LB that gets the least love.” — @PSchrags | @Buccaneers pic.twitter.com/bq5xDwlq0O

If the Buccaneers get a slew of prime times games this Fall, you can expect even more love to come Davids way. It’s about time the most underrated player in the NFL gets the love he deserves.
