The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are sure enjoying an offseason in front of the spotlight after the signing of Tom Brady. This time, Shaq Barrett was on ESPN’s Get Up to discuss how far the Buccaneers can go in 2020.
“I think with Brady it just makes us an automatic contender for the Super Bowl. With Jameis I think we would have been a playoff contender.”

Many people have pointed to this quote as shade towards Jameis Winston, but it’s hard to argue. Brady is an immediate upgrade at the quarterback position whose leadership should transcend the entire organization.
Since bringing home the Lombardi Trophy in 2003, the Buccaneers have not seen much success in the post-season. In fact, two wild-card losses in 2004 and 2007 would be the teams only playoff appearances in 16 years.
For fans clamoring for Tampa Bay to finally be relevant once again, can Brady provide the boost they desperately need?
