The struggles of Donovan Smith continue as the long criticized left tackle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was called out by head coach Bruce Arians for his play in the season opener in New Orleans on Sunday.
“I was very disappointed in his play. I think every now and then he reverts back to some techniques that are not very good [and] he got beat. He had probably the easiest guy to block up there and he did a poor job. It was one of his poorest games and [I] expect for him to bounce back this week, yes.” said Arians.
Smith’s play has long been a point of contention among Buccaneers fans who question the value of his $14 million dollar cap hit.
