                                                                                                              Seth Lobato:  #4  QB

Seth Lobato 6’6″ and 230 pounds, he was one of the biggest QB’s in the 2014 draft.

Lobato was considered by many to have one of the best arms in the draft last year. He ran a 4.92:40 at pro day 2014.  He also obtained a 4.50 short shuttle and a 7.07 3 cone.  He maintains a considerable amount of athleticism that allowed him to be recruited to play basketball in the big 12.

His mobility is immediately noticeable on any game or highlight film due to Northern Colorado’s offensive line forcing Lobato to make  plays with his legs.

He attended the University of Colorado, but after being red shirted ,he transferred to Northern Colorado to seek more playing time. Lobato won the starting quarterback position in 2011 and held on to it until he graduated three years later. During his time at Northern Colorado he threw for close to 8,000 yards and 52 touchdowns and also rushed for 6.

He had issues with accuracy in his college career ,where he couldn’t complete more than 58.3% of his passes and he threw 34 interceptions. But you should know that Northern Colorado ran an offense that depended on vertical passing ,making Lobato throw longer and higher risk passes more than most quarterbacks are expected.

In 2014 many NFL teams that had well established quarterbacks ,were looking at Lobato as a developmental prospect. During 2014’s Pro Day, the New England Patriots spoke at great length with Seth Lobato. He was signed by the Colts as a undrafted rookie and then released to be picked up by the Dolphins ,who also released him. Now he is signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is third man on the depth chart.
