It’s obvious that Evan Mathis has no respect for his former head coach Chip Kelly, but to say that he couldn’t handle the teams players might just be a tad ridiculous.
“Evan Mathis has never been shy about offering opinions regarding Chip Kelly, his former coach. A year ago, Mathis wanted to rework his deal to remain in Philadelphia. He then reversed course and asked to be released. Kelly eventually acquiesced to that request. Mathis went on to win a Super Bowl ring with theDenver Broncos. Kelly was fired by the Eagles and hired by the San Francisco 49ers. In an email exchange with Mike Klis of 9NEWS, Mathis blasted Kelly’s scheme and his handling of star players, specifically noting that Chip couldn’t have handled the personalities on the Broncos roster.” -Reported by Kevin Patra
