Reports have come in that the Kansas City Chiefs have hosted free agent Da’Qaun Bowers for a visit Friday. The visit will be the first reported interest in the former Buccaneers defensive end. Bowers was considered to be a huge disappointment by many Bucs fans. The former second-round draft pick in 2010, had missed a lot of time due to injury and was suspended a couple of games for violating the league’s substance abuse rule, with sports-enhancing substances. Tampa brought back the DE in 2015 on a one-year trial deal but ended up being a name on the final roster cut-list, at the start of the 2015 season. Bowers did make a return to the roster at the end of last season, but was not re-signed by Tampa and is now a free agent.
