Raiders re-sign Aldon Smith who cannot play until mid-November

The Raiders re-sign Aldon Smith to a two-year deal. The Veteran linebacker saw no other teams as a team to consider playing for, and the Owner saw him as a priority. Smith is currently serving a one-year suspension for violating league policy and will not be eligible for reinstatement until mid-November. The league banned Smith following an incident where he was charged with a DUI, hit and run, and vandalism. The arrest prompted his release from the 9ers, but Oakland signed him to a one-year agreement last September. The Raiders are not going to give up on Smith, regardless of his issues. Aldon Smith had 33.5 sacks in his first two years, that is more than any other player in NFL history.
