Recently acquired safety John Lowdermilk has decided to put his cleats up. The decision was made on Tuesday, and the Buccaneers have had to place the safety on to the reserve/ retired list. Lowdermilk played some solid football while in college but hasn’t been able to get his NFL career off the ground. He was signed by the San Diego Chargers, last season, as a undrafted free agent, then he was waived at the start of the 2015 season. After being waived by the Chargers, he was picked up by the Minnesota Vikings and placed on their practice squad. Minnesota brought Lowdermilk back on future reserve contract but was released soon after.
