  2. Players And Rumors

Mike Evans had is ups and downs last season, and many fans gave him the dreaded name, butterfingers, but Evans still remains one of the top receivers in the NFL. In his first two seasons, he had 142 receptions for 2,257 yards and ranks 12th overall in the NFL, for receiving yards in that time. As a rookie, Mike Evans set a Buccaneers franchise record with 12 touchdowns. In 2015, Evans continued his production, despite popular belief, with 74 catches and 1,206 yards. Mike will continue to improve because Mike will not settle for anything but the best. “I’m never going to settle for second best. I think I can be the best receiver in the league. That’s my goal, year in and year out. I want to play in this league for a real long time. I want to dominate and help my team win. I just have to stay injury-free. I’m healthy. I feel really good.”

Mike Evans can easily be considered the main reason Johnny Manziel was so successful, and one of the reasons the NFL had their eyes on the addiction fueled talent squandered. Mike Evans knows he’s come a long way since those days of catching passes at A&M and now looks forward to proving he has what it takes to move up that NFL receiving ladder. Especially with a quarterback like Jameis Winston throwing him the ball. Together, they should do a lot of great things.  “We’re going to have better chemistry. We’re hanging out more, doing everything necessary to make sure it’s a great year for both of us. Jameis is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever been around. We’re going to do a lot of great things together.”
