Lions host Anquan Boldin

Veteran WR Anquan Boldin is in Detroit today meeting with the Lions. Not only do the Lions need experienced bodies for camp, they also need a veteran WR to help compensate for the loss of Calvin Johnson. Boldin has a history with Lions head coach Jim Caldwell. Caldwell was the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator while Boldin was playing there. In 2015, Boldin caught 65 passes for 921 yards and 4 touchdowns. Although Boldin is not the force he used to be, he still brings veteran experience and sure hands.  Despite Boldin’s decrease in production last year, he still can be a worthy competitor if signed to the team. The Lions recently signed former Arizona Cardinals receiver Andre Roberts in hopes of filling the void left by Calvin Johnson. But in reality, it will take multiple talented additions to fill that void.
