Devin Hester has been released by the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons say that he has passed the Physical, that his release was just “A football decision”. Hester missed 11 games last season injury. He has surgery on his injured toe in January. Hester has not participated in any offseason activities with the Falcons, as he was recovering from his surgery. Many are curious to know whether Hester could rejoin Koetter and Mike Smith in Tampa or if he will return to his former team the Chicago Bears.
Hester is widely renowned as one of the best returners in NFL history. He owns the NFL punt return record for touchdowns. He was also the first to score a touchdown on the opening kickoff of a Super Bowl, also owns the quickest score in Super Bowl history.
