Tom Brady sat out against the Bears during Thursday’s preseason game, after he accidentally cut his thumb on a pair of scissors. Brady was geared up and ready to play before slicing the thumb on his throwing hand.

Brady will be fine, so Pat’s fans need not worry. Brady has plenty of time to recuperate before he gets to start in week 5. Brady would have played but as a precaution, coach Belichick decided to sit him out and Jimmy Garopollo started instead.
