Anything short of making it to the AFC championship game or the super bowl even will mean that Broncos RB C.J Anderson’s season is over. He has been placed on injured reserve a day after having knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus.
Anderson suffered the injury early in the Monday victory over the Texans. He could start jogging in as early as six weeks but, the complete recovery time will take months. It was initially diagnosed as a bone bruise, a second opinion, however, brought the much worse news.
Rookie Devontae Booker will now become the workhorse back in Denver, and 3rd year back Kapri Bibbs will play the support role, as fullback Andy Janovich will more than likely see increased snaps as well.
