The Buccaneer have promoted defensive end Russell Ryan and center Ben Gottschalk to the active 53 man roster. Russell was a former Dallas Cowboys fifth-round pick in the 2015 draft. He was released among this year’s final roster cuts. OL Ben Gottschalk was signed by the Chiefs in 2015 as an undrafted free agent but was not able to make the 53 man roster. He was released during last year’s preseason. The TampaBay Buccaneers picked him up and added him to the practice squad earlier this year and he remained there activated due to injuries to the line.
In order to make room for these additions to the active squad RB Russell Hansbrough had to be again waived. He was just recently resigned.
