Some have speculated that Buccaneers veteran wide receiver Vincent Jackson may retire. Jackson’s contract has come to an end with Tampa and Jackson has no plans of retiring. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 9th, and it has been said that the Bucs have spoken to Jackson about possibly returning with the team next season.
Although, Jackson is not retiring and wants to play another season in the NFL, there are no guarantees that it will be with the Buccaneers. It is Jackson’s right to test the free agency, but he will be missed by the Buccaneers organization and will be missed by the community of Tampa.
Jackson suffered a season-ending knee injury last year and was placed on the IR, but not before earning $9,777,778 million which Tampa had no problem honoring.
