The Buccaneers re-sign Jacquizz Rodgers!

Finally, the Buccaneers were allowed to re-sign running back Jacquizz Rodgers. Due to NFL rules, the Buccaneers were not able to re-sign Rodgers until the day free agency opened. Well, that day is upon us and Rodgers has signed a Two-year $3.3 million contract with $1 million in incentives available.

Rodgers was a Chicago Bear last year until releasing him prior to the start of the regular season. Tampa quickly signed him to play in place of the injured Doug Martin and Rodgers has been a fan favorite ever since.

Appearing in 10 games for the Bucs last season, Rodgers averaged 4.3 ypc, for 560 yards, and 98 yards on 13 receptions. It’s good to have Rodgers back.
