Adam Shaheen a solid third round pick for Tampa?

With the draft coming up in exactly one month, Tampa has been doing their due diligence. The Bucs have been bringing in players for private workouts and it seems the Buccaneers are looking to add some more receiving talent for Jameis Winston. Recently the Buccaneers brought in a couple of talented tight ends for private workouts. Most recent was Adam Shaheen.

Recently the Buccaneers brought in a couple of talented tight ends for private workouts. Most recent was Adam Shaheen.

Shaheen has been called to private workouts for several teams, and from his performance during his stint at the small town college, Ashland university, there is no surprise as to why. He has skill and he is a big athletic target.  At 6’6, 278 lbs he is a monster of a man and although he has questionable blocking skills he is a dangerous target.

In  2015 and 2016 season, Shaheen recorded a total of 127 receptions for 1,670 yards and 26 touchdowns for the Ashland Eagles. He also the 40 in 4.70 seconds at the combine.

Tampa has Cameron Brate and he is obviously a rising star, but adding another TE to compliment him makes the Bucs that much better. The Bucs also like to draft guys from small town colleges and have had some success in doing so. IE. Ali Marpet, Hobart.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Shaheen come off the board to Tampa, in the third round.
