Keith Tandy: Cementing his starting spot!

0

Last year, Keith Tandy’s number was called when Chris Conte went down. Tandy came out and played HARDCORE LIGHTS OUT FOOTBALL. He pretty much told everyone this is my starting spot and NO ONE will take it. In his 5 starts, Tandy Collected 57 tackles and 4 game changing interceptions. When Conte was healthy to come back, the Buccaneers knew they couldn’t take Tandy out of the starting lineup because the man was on fire!

Tandy is playing in his last year of his contract, so he knows if he wants to get paid, he has to continue to play just like he had at the end of 2016. Last year, was Coach Mike Smith’s first year as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive Coordinator. Everyone was trying to learn how he wanted to run the defense. Coach Smith likes his safeties to be very vocal on the field and communicate their assignments. Tandy has really improved his game every year and can really turn himself into a dominate safety this coming season.

With another off-season under his belt, Tandy can really learn and grow, in Coach Smith defense, which will only help him improve his game. If we can get consistency at the safety position then our secondary will have the potential to be best in the game. If our secondary can hold their ground and not get beat off the line, it will give our defensive enough time to do what it is needed. If Everyone does their job efficiently then our defense could become one of the top defenses in the league in 2017.
