NFL.com’s newest list that names the top 10 best LB teams goes as follows…

  1. Denver Broncos
  2. Kansas City Chiefs
  3. Carolina Panthers
  4. San Francisco 49ers
  5. Oakland Raiders
  6. Atlanta Falcons
  7. Pittsburgh Steelers
  8. Houston Texans
  9. Minnesota Vikings
  10. Arizona Cardinals

The list was retweeted by Kwon Alexander, with a simple “Bullsh-t”, which is kind of the consensus on social media from a lot of Buc fans and even some fans of other NFL teams, who think they should have been on the list. This isn’t the first time the Bucs linebackers have been overlooked, Alexander, who leads the league in solo tackles, was left off of both the NFL’s all under 25 team and the NFL networks top 100 players lists. Coupled with Lavante David, who was among the leaders in defeats last season, tying for 2nd (1st in 2013, 2nd in 2014 and 2nd in 2015), the Buccaneers talented LB duo was pretty solid for the 2016 season. Their lack of depth may have been a factor, however, most of the time the duo was doing the work of 3, which should have been taken into consideration. Why their efforts were overlooked is anyone’s guess. I think 2017 will be a turn around year for not only them but also the team as a whole. Here’s to hoping they finally get the recognition they deserve.
