Monday evening the San Francisco 49ers made the announcement that they have signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Louis Murphy.
Murphy joined the Buccaneers in 2014 after playing for the Oakland Raiders, who drafted him in the fourth-round of the 2009 NFL Draft, then playing one season with the Panthers, and one for the Giants.
The seven-year veteran appeared in six games for the Buccaneers, in 2015, but suffered a severe knee injury that left him on the injury reserve until his release in November of 2016.
