Tampa Primed for Postseason Run

Elliot Harrison and Akbar Gbaja-biamila on NFL Network discuss their best takeaways from Bucs training camp in a recent sit-down.

After running through Doug Martin’s suspension for the first 3 games as well as how well Jameis, Sims and J. Rogers are looking on the field, Harrison says, “I am watching this big time, because I think Tampa Bay is primed for its first post season run since Jon Gruden was head coach 10 years ago.”

Gbaja-biamila chimed in with, “I’ll tell you what I’m looking for, I’m looking for the maturity factor with Jameis Winston, I mean we’ve seen him last year and what he’s done; I thought he grew last year, I think this year coming in, he is going to be outstanding, you give him a tight end, who I think could be something special in O.J. Howard and then you look at the receiver core; you’ve got Evans on one hand, and Desean Jackson, a lot of speed. Look, we could see a whole new Winston.”

I do have to agree with these guys if you’ve been paying attention in the off season, our team is looking pretty solid. I think the additions and changes that they made, as well as all the work they are putting in, is paying off big time! C’mon kick off, I’m ready!
