The Buccaneers Sign Corner Back Mariel Cooper

The Bucs have just signed free agent Mariel cooper on Saturday.

Cooper signed with the Washington Redskins as an undrafted rookie out of Citadel last year, but was waived with an injury settlement during the preseason.

Mariel has not played in a NFL game yet and is now looking to compete for a roster spot with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While at Citadel Cooper appeared in 12 games, started in 11, recording 30 tackles, 8 passes defended, and an interception.

Prior to his playing at citadel, Cooper played four seasons at South Carolina State where he recorded 31 tackles, a pass defend, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick.
