Sluggish Night at the RayJay

Saturday night’s preseason home opener against the Browns was off to a very sluggish start and would stay sluggish throughout the night.

Jameis Winston did not disappoint me tonight and he never does, on the night he was 17 of 27 for 200 yards and one interception. Nick Folk really impressed me tonight since he was responsible for scoring all nine of Tampa Bay’s points on Saturday night, as he booted from 43, 42 and 31 yards and every single one of his kicks was dead solid perfect.

Bryan Anger played his best game of his career Saturday night as put all seven of his kicks inside of the Browns 20-yard line and on one punt Anger pinned Cleveland down on their own one-yard line. The Bucs were without starters such as receivers such as DeSean Jackson, Mike Evans, offensive lineman, Demar Dotson and Kevin Pamphile. Rookie Chris Godwin started Saturday night and led the Bucs in receiving with four receptions for 57 yards.

The Bucs night ended sluggish just like it started as the Bucs lost to the Browns 13-9. The Bucs close out the preseason next Thursday night against the Washington Redskins at 7:30 at Raymond James Stadium. I hope the next game goes better than they did Saturday night, I doubt fewer starters will play to close out the preseason.
