Irma highly likely to impact Bucs@Phins

Sunday’s 1pm kickoff in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium for week one’s matchup between the Bucs and Dolphins is very likely in jeopardy after Monday’s early update from the  National Weather Service. All corresponding models are in agreement of Irma turning 90 degrees right up the state on Saturday and making possible landfall Sunday morning. More than likely, Bucs at Dolphins will have to be moved to another date, Thursday, Friday, or maybe even to November 11th which both teams are on a bye-week.

Tropical force winds could start as early as 5 am before hurricane force gale would move in by 9 am in South Florida with the storm possibly parallel to Miami area by early Sunday afternoon. With the storm traversing nearly northward through the state rather than on a westerly track for majority of Florida impacts (making for quick exits),  the entire state of Florida will be impacted by this dangerous storm.

Regardless, all Floridians should AND need to have a hurricane kit NOW and please heed your county’s evacuation orders if issued.
