Just A Really Bad Day.

On Sunday, the Bucs seemed to sleepwalk through the game against the Vikings in Minnesota. Tampa Bay was basically blown out, 34-17.

The Buccaneers started slow, made too many mental mistakes and were plagued by the turnover bug.

Jameis Winston finished the game with two touchdown and three interceptions. DeSean Jackson found the end zone for his first touchdown as a Buc, catching a 25-yard pass from Winston. That also marked the 54th touchdown reception of Jackson’s career.

The Bucs defense was shredded by the Vikings ground game led by Dalvin Cook. They also made Case Keenum look like Tom Brady. Injuries were also a factor as the Bucs were without LB Kwon Alexander, DB Brent Grimes, and DT Chris Baker.

Tampa Bay also had key injuries during the game with Gerald McCoy, Lavonte David, T.J. Ward, and Vernon Hargreaves going down. Being shorthanded was the recipe for disaster, but that isn’t and shouldn’t be an excuse for not showing up. I think it’s safe to say, the best thing the Bucs and the fans can do to get over this loss is to just move on, prepare and practice hard all week and let’s get ready to host the 0-3 New York Giants. The Giants are led by QB Eli Manning and WR Odell Beckham.

This is the second game of the season in Raymond James Stadium, and the game is sold out, let’s get loud, let’s get proud, and let’s kick some N.Y. Giant a$$.
