Can’t Blame Jameis For Monday Night Loss.

Everyone wants to blame someone every time the Bucs lose and why not? That’s what fans do. Fans are not picky. They love to spread the blame to all factions of the organization. From Chris Conte to Jameis Winston, to Donovan Smith and Demar Dotson, to the DC and the HC, all the way up to GM and the owners. Every game, it’s a different person on the proverbial whipping post, but the rotation of people remains the same. But this time, you cannot blame Jameis Winston.

Jameis played the way we’ve always wanted Jameis to play. He controlled the ball well, he was accurate, he protected the football, played smart, and kept the ball moving down the field. But someone out there will find a way to blame Jameis for this loss. He connected on 27 of 35 passes thrown for 299 yards, 3 TDs, NO INTERCEPTIONS, or FUMBLES earning him a QBR of 130.5.

Winston lead this team to within 54 yards of tying a hungry Falcons team, who are within two games of taking the NFC South Crown, but in the end, Patrick Murray came up a little short. You can’t blame Pat Murray for the miss. It was a tough kick.

The Buccaneers played their butts off last night, but the loss should be blamed on injuries, questionable play calling on both sides of the ball, poor clock management, dropped passes, penalties, and a bumbling ref. Hell, that’s our season in a nutshell.
