The Kansas City Chiefs have recently made it public that they are willing to trade Marcus Peters. Now, this may surprise a lot of fans including myself. Since he’s entered the league in 2015 he has proven himself to be a top 10 corner in this league with no signs of slowing down. In his first 3 seasons in the NFL Peters has gathered an impressive stat line with 151 combined tackles and 19 interceptions with 2 TDs thrown in.
It’s not like he has regressed any so the idea of the Chiefs wanting to trade him is baffling. None the less the Bucs could very much use a man of his talent, especially with the future of Grimes and the development of Vernon Hargreaves in the air. Marcus Peters would help out this secondary tremendously. Now I’m not saying go out there and give away 1st or 2nd round picks, but they definitely need to entertain the idea. Also just throwing this idea out there, The Chiefs could use a WR and we do happen to have one that didn’t quite work out with us last season cough* cough* DeSean Jackson.
We probably won’t end up trading for him, but anything is possible in this league.
