Crabtree and Lynch out in Oakland? – Daniel Beebe

It sounds like Micheal Crabtree and Marshawn Lynch are on their way out in Oakland. Jon Gruden is already making big changes to the Raiders by letting both of these guys go. Crabtree has been a monster in the passing game for the Raiders. He is the more consistent of the two power receivers in Oakland. Where will they both end up due to this shocking move?

Micheal Crabtree stands 6’1 215 pounds and is an absolute touchdown machine in Oakland. Derek Carr found Crabtree 8 times in 2017. He had 58 receptions for 618 yards.  Crabtree has been very productive for the Raiders for his career. He has 579 receptions for 6,870 yards and 51 touchdowns in 10 years.  The only knock on Crabtree would have to be some of the childish things he does on the field.  I don’t think that Crabtree will be looking to long for employment.

The other person seemingly on his way out is Marshawn Lynch. How can “Beast Mode” be done already in Oakland. Lynch had a decent season in 2017. He had 891 yards and 7 touchdowns. Lynch came out of retirement for the Raiders. He sat out in 2016 and the last memory we had of was when the Seahawks did not give him the ball at the 1-yard line and threw an interception to Malcolm Butler, losing the Superbowl. He may have a hard time finding someone to take on his antics and sub-par play.

The Buccaneers are in play for both positions, but these guys bring a ton of baggage. Their talent speaks for itself. I would welcome Crabtree and Lynch to Tampa Bay. Having too many weapons around Jameis can’t be a bad thing, right? Our offensive line has been questionable, but Lynch has proven he can run behind any offensive line.  Time will tell what Oakland ultimately decides to do with Crabtree and Lynch, but make no mistakes about teams will jump at the chance to acquire them.
