Stewart started the last 2 seasons for the Tar Heels being named honorable mention ACC both years. In 2015 as a Sophomore, he grabbed 4 Ints and 18 passes defended to go with 62 Tackles and 2.5 TFL. Stewart failed to register an int his next two years, but still had excellent numbers. As a Junior, he had 66 tackles, 2ff and 11 passes defended. Last year, as a Senior, he played well with 45 tackles, 5 TFL, 2 sacks to go, with 12 passed defended.
Stewart can play anywhere in the defensive backfield, inside, outside, and some say he would translate to the pros best as a safety. In Stewart, the Bucs are getting a 5’11” 200lb DB that runs a 4.54 FYD and put up 225lbs 18 times. He is a player that can cover as well as stuff the run, as he is not afraid to hit. Stewart has the potential to be a first year starter that could make a huge diffrence whether its at CB or FS.
