Gerald McCoy is one of the best players the Buccaneers have. He has played solid ever since he was drafted in 2010, and, up until now, he has done so without having very much help along the Defensive Line. This year, however, Jason Licht and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have invested heavily to provide much-needed help, as they acquired Jason Pierre Paul, one of the best Defensive Ends in the league, Vinny Curry and now Vita Vea, a huge Defensive Tackle in Draft.
McCoy is used to often draw double-teams. He has never played next to a stud Defensive Tackle. Last year we thought acquiring Chris Baker would help. Oh boy, were we wrong.
There is no doubt about it. This Defenisve Line has all the tools to be a very scary unit this upcoming season. Tampa Bay should finally be able to create pressure on the Quarterback again and this will make the defense better as a whole.
