Run Ronald Run!

New RB, new hope, same number.

Chances are that Bucs fans will see a familiar number lining up in the backfield come opening weekend. The number 22 will now be worn by new RB Ronald Jones II; whilst not a first round pick like freshly departed Doug Martin is still a highly regarded player and one expected to do well in the NFL.

At times Martin was everything expected, a pinball style back who was hard to bring down and lacking breakout speed! Jones II is advertised as having breakout speed and more.

Blessed with a devastating ability to stop and then accelerate, NFL defensive coordinators will have to respect Tampa Bay in the air and on the ground.

Over 3 years Jones II carried the rock at USC 591 times for 3,619 yards at a very respectful average of 6.1 yards per carry. With 39 rushing TD’s he certainly has the ability to take it into the end zone.

It’s time to be excited about the Buccaneers back field once again!
