If you take Mike Florio at his word, should the Buccaneers suddenly cut franchise QB Jameis Winston none of the other 31 teams in the NFL would be interested.
I would agree with any fan who argued that Winston hasn’t set the league on fire in his first 3 years, no titles and no playoffs, too many turnovers etc. But, that not a single team would be interested in the Tampa Bay starter? Not a chance!
Winston is a leader of his team and has the potential to develop into a top QB in the NFL. I firmly believe that playoffs are near and the future under center is secure with Jameis Winston.
All any casual fan needs to do is Google “Mike Florio + Jameis Winston” and they can see for themselves the anti-Winston rhetoric he frequently feels the need to spew. Where this personal vendetta has emerged from, is a personal mystery, but guess what Mike? We. Don’t. Care!
Should this article come to your attention Mr Florio, then please provide a legitimate argument for the teams needing a QB that Winston won’t improve; not that he’s leaving the Bay area. Give it a go and I, along with the majority of Buccaneers fans will give you two arguments why he would improve those teams.
Jameis Winston is a student of the game and if any critical argument holds any water, it’s that he tries too hard at times. I’d rather that than someone who doesn’t try at all!
Winston now has a better team around him, an improved O line and a new RB to help carry the load. Additionally a new Defense that won’t need him to try and carry the team out of a hole. The future looks very bright in Tampa, thank you very much Mike Florio.
