Despite a very forgettable season last year, there were a few bright spots. One of them is rookie WR Chris Godwin. He finished his first year with 34 for 525 yards and one touchdown. Which is a pretty good rookie performance, especially, when you are vying for snaps among a talented pass catching core, who are vying for theirs as well.
Godwin was ranked only slightly behind Cooper Kupp, and if not for the offensive depth, the argument could be made that Godwin would of had the opportunity to beat out Kupp for PFF’s top spot.
