JPP Misses Out On $250k After Being Absent At OTA’s. Reports To Mandatory Minicamp

Throughout the Buccaneers OTA’s Jason Pierre-Paul headlined those that were absent during those activities. The talented defensive linemen who was traded by the Giants earlier this off-season has built quite the reputation at rushing the passer after building up 58.5 sacks during his 8 year career. He has made a good amount of money doing it by making $56 million over that course, and apparently that makes missing out on a $250k workout bonus no big deal.

Despite being one of the more disruptive linemen in the league, you would think that he would seize upon every opportunity to build chemistry with his new teammates and get to know the playbook. With that said, he is a veteran that has earned that luxury, and it is not uncommon to see prominent veterans skip out on voluntary practices. Of course every organization and its coaches would like to see perfect attendance during activities like these, but that is not always. It should be noted that JPP did in fact report to the Bucs mandatory minicamp this week, and hopefully fits right in with the overhauled defensive line that should be more productive than in years past.
