Supplemental RB Martayveus Carter In Critical Condition After Being Shot Over The Weekend.

Former Grand Valley State University running back, Martayveus Carter was shot over the weekend in East Chicago, Indiana.

Late Saturday night – early Sunday morning (7/28-7/29), Carter was one of two shot at a gas station in East Chicago.

Carter remains in critical condition, however, the second shooting victim, Brian Thomas, has passed away due to his injuries.

According to police, several people, believed to be involved in the incident, have been detained, and 4 weapons recovered.

Martayveus Carter passed up on his senior year of college to enter into the 2018 Supplemental Draft but was not selected.

During his collegiate career, at Grand Valley State University, Carter was the school’s all-time leading rusher with 3,728 yards and 36 TDs.
