NFL: Predicting the NFC West

0

Each season, experts try to do their best in predicting things that may happen in the NFL. This starts with predicting the division winners, award winners, playoff teams, and even the eventual Super Bowl Champion. Over the next four weeks, we will do our best to line up each division. We start with the NFC West.

  1. Arizona Cardinals

While the Cardinals may have talent on paper, they are in transition. They are starting 2018 with a new coaching staff. In addition, they have question marks at QB. Will Sam Bradford stay healthy enough to play in all 16 games? Will Josh Rosen surprise everyone and win the job in training camp? These questions and more surround this franchise. I expect them to be competitive. However, they do not have enough to win the division. Record 5-11.

  1. Seattle Seahawks

This just might be the last season that we see Pete Carroll in the NFL. The Seahawks are a team that looks like they should be able to win the division. However, there are issues in the back-end of their defense that may hinder them from keeping teams out of the end zone. As well as issues trying to keep Russell Wilson healthy. While I think this team will sneak in a few upset wins, they are only good enough for third in the NFC West. Record 8-8

  1. San Francisco 49ers

Here is a young, hungry team. They have the early makings in San Fran of a team that will be able to win for a very long time. Jimmy Garoppolo has yet to lose in the NFL. That no doubt will come at some point this season. When? Who knows. I could see this team fighting for a wild card spot at the end of the season. Record 10-6

  1. Los Angeles Rams

The defending NFC West Champions only got better in the offseason. Their defensive secondary is going to be very hard to throw against. You will have to challenge some of the best in the game if you want to score. They have one of the most prolific offenses in the game today. IT would not surprise me to see this team challenging for an NFC crown and trip to the big game. Record 12-4

The NFC West, in my eyes, is a two-team race. The Rams have the more experience that will rise to the top. If the Niners catch a break or two we could really see them as a playoff surprise. The last two teams will have to check back next year.
